Introducing the Roselli x Side by Side Hunting Knife

This hunting knife is based on the original Roselli design dating back to 1976, known for its minimalist and functional design. With over 45 years of proven performance in the wilderness, it has become a trusted companion for hunting, fishing, and outdoor enthusiasts.

This version of the knife has been crafted with meticulous attention to detail, ensuring optimal functionality. It marks the beginning of a series personally designed by Madeleine Pettersson from Side by Side in collaboration with Roselli.

Originally developed as a hunting knife for moose hunters in Finland, this Finnish handmade hunting knife is well-suited for handling larger game such as moose, wild boar, and large deer. Its blade design and profile make it excellent for skinning game.

The blade is durable carbon steel, while the handle is made from stained curly birch and coated with linseed oil, providing a secure grip even in wet conditions.

Additionally, the knife comes with a handcrafted sheath crafted from dark vegetable-tanned Finnish leather, featuring a quick-release leather loop that easily attaches to your hunting belt. The sheath showcases an exclusive deer illustration designed for this collaboration, personally selected by Madeleine, honoring the spirit of the hunt.

  • Hunting & Carpenter knife!

    Both knives have character, one with a blade that is super sharp and "lives" just like the birch handle itself; here you can see the work of a blacksmith, the effort and the time, that's just great. As great as the new CPM steels are, a carbon blade with 60 HRC is simply better (I maintain all my knives anyway) and nothing happens with a bit of oil.

    The Carpenter is the best small bushcraft knife I ever had. Beautiful, comfortable, light as a feather, has a very good edge geometry and factory sharpness, and keeps that edge for a long-long time. And when it's time to strop, it takes no time to get that scary edge back. My other purchase was the Hunter. The handle is a bit too big for my hand, but I love the bladeshape very much. High-quality carbon steel, Finnish curly birch and Finnish natural tanned leather form the basis of all our products. Our locally produced, organic and ethical leather comes from free animals and has been vegetable tanned where only organic material is used instead of destructive chemicals.
