Product description

Our Hunting knife, the original Roselli, with a minimalist design. Truly made for the hunter and the perfect companion when handling medium to large sized game. This refurbished Hunting Knife most likely made by Heimo himself sometime in the late 1970s, has been repaired, polished and renewed for a lifetime of adventure.

It was sent to us by Timo in Finland. Thank you Timo for letting us give your Roselli another chance at life. Because great knives never die.

Condition: Used

Excellent - Barely any signs of usage.

Good - Small superficial signs of being used.

Used - Normal signs of wear and tear.

Steel: Carbon steel

Hardness: About 60 HRC

Handle: Curly birch

Sheath: Light vegetable tanned leather

Take care of your Roselli

  • Clean and dry your knife after use, ALWAYS AVOID the dishwasher.
  • Store the knife dry and in its sheath to avoid damage to the blade.

  • Hunting & Carpenter knife!

    Both knives have character, one with a blade that is super sharp and "lives" just like the birch handle itself; here you can see the work of a blacksmith, the effort and the time, that's just great. As great as the new CPM steels are, a carbon blade with 60 HRC is simply better (I maintain all my knives anyway) and nothing happens with a bit of oil.

    Never head out without my Roselli, at least one of them. They all hold a good edge. My 19 inch Axe splits firewood like butter and my Grandfather knife is always on my belt, if not my Heimo. Good steel and comfortable wood handles.

    The Carpenter is the best small bushcraft knife I ever had. Beautiful, comfortable, light as a feather, has a very good edge geometry and factory sharpness, and keeps that edge for a long-long time. And when it's time to strop, it takes no time to get that scary edge back. My other purchase was the Hunter. The handle is a bit too big for my hand, but I love the bladeshape very much. I can definitely see why it is such a popular knife! I will probably buy a blade and make my own handle to fit me better. I will definitely get a Carving Knife and a Roselli Axe too!

No shortcuts are taken – we make everything by hand, from fantastic local natural materials, using old blacksmithing techniques, in a local workshop in Harmoinen Finland. Our products are made from the finest natural materials and raw materials that follow the highest ethical standards. High-quality carbon steel, Finnish curly birch and Finnish natural tanned leather form the basis of all our products. Our locally produced, organic and ethical leather comes from free animals and has been vegetable tanned where only organic material is used instead of destructive chemicals.

In addition to our long-term sustainability goals, we choose local natural materials to minimize transport and a transport partner whose electrified road transport is increasing all the time.
