What’s the best place in Japan for an ultimate outdoor adventure?

One of my favorite places is Agi, in Nakatsugawa, Gifu Prefecture.

It’s a quiet area surrounded by mountains and rivers, a place where you can feel the seasons with all your senses. Find calm, and reset your mind.

Your top three must-have tools for the outdoors?

  1. Roselli Knife. A tool that harmonizes with nature and can be trusted for life.
  2. Silky Folding Saw. Exceptionally smooth and precise, essential for bushcraft and camp setup.
  3. Fire Pit. Because every outdoor story begins around the fire.

Have you ever had a memorable wildlife encounter?

One morning in the forest, I locked eyes with a deer just a few meters away.

It didn’t run, it simply stood there, calm and curious. In that silent moment, I realized that in the wild, humans are just one life among many.

Do you have a go-to meal for a day or overnight outdoors?

My favorite outdoor meal is grilled meat and eggs over an open fire with freshly cooked rice.

Simple, honest, and satisfying. The sound of fire and the scent of smoke are the best spices.

What´s your outdoor story?

I began exploring the outdoors simply because I needed peace. Through meeting Japanese campers and bushcraft enthusiasts, I discovered that spending time in nature is not just a hobby, it’s a way of life.

Today, whether it’s camping, snowboarding, surfing, or mountain climbing, I enjoy every moment where I can absorb nature and become one with it.

For me, the outdoors is not a place to escape, it’s a place to return to. Roselli’s tools carry a spirit of craftsmanship and the philosophy of living in harmony with nature. I’m truly proud to share that spirit here in Japan.
